My Favourite iPhone App

My favourite iPhone app for pleasure is TuneIn Radio.  I can listen to radio stations all over the world and search by artist.  But most of all I can listen to Jon Rice, MD of Samson Office Supplies, Ilminster as he hosts his radio show on 10 Radio (105.3fm) “JA to TA…Reggae with Jonnie Rice on Sun 1 Apr, 20:00 – 22:00” when I’m driving back from a visit to London.

UK leading the world in e-commerce- what are you doing about it?

‘UK world leader in internet shopping’  ‘UK e-commerce spending increases 10% in February’  ‘10% of our GDP is now spent online’  ‘UK m-commerce expected to be worth £2.5bn by 2016’

On March 19th the BBC headlined a report that the UK was the world leader in internet shopping.  Was this misleading?  Did it refer to the fact that we are all just mad and still spending money we don’t have?  What was really behind the story and what is really going on within the world of e-commerce?

Your website should now be the central cog of your business, it positions your message and values to the world, it drives new business enquiries, it endorses what you do, it sets you apart from your competitors and at times it transacts with your customers. Continue reading

Adobe Acquires Typekit

Typekit is a site that allows you to use web fonts on your own website. We have used it ourselves on NextGenCel, Spindlewood Lodges, Wessex Audio Visual and Life Skills Direct and the acquisition by Adobe could bridge the gap in using web fonts offline for designing pages in PhotoShop or Fireworks as well as publishing fonts you choose yourself. As part of joining forces with Cardstream, HigherSites has adopted a new home. Our new offices based on the Blackbrook Business Park in Taunton are large, open plan and… air conditioned! We have plenty of space for holding meetings and will ensure it’ll be the ideal home for our planned future expansion!
